Examined group-induced shift toward risk, measured by the Choice-Dilemmas Questionnaire, under conditions of information exchange, discussion, and listening. 100 male undergraduates received instructions usually used by other investigators, and 100 Ss received neutral instructions. The usual patterns of shifts toward risk occurred with the risk-oriented instructions, but no shift occurred with neutral instructions. (16 ref.)
