Reports changes of 10 undergraduates on the Personal Orientation Inventory following a weekend marathon group experience. Pretest and posttest results indicate significant changes in the mean scores of Ss on the following scales: Inner-Direction, Existentiality, Feeling Reactivity, Spontaneity, Self-Acceptance, Acceptance of Aggression, and Capacity for Intimate Contact. There were no significant changes for a control group. Differences were found between those who volunteered for the group experience and those from the same population who volunteered "to be in an experiment." Results are discussed with reference to a number of untested hypotheses. (25 ref.) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
