Abstract

Presents a proposal for a state-association-sponsored school of professional psychology which grew out of the need for: (a) more professional psychologists, (b) training programs which utilize the clinical teaching potential of experienced professionals and are relative to social needs and the opportunities available, (c) utilization of potential training settings in the community, and (d) development of more legitimate vocational training settings for subdoctoral condidates. The immediate and long-range goals, tentative curriculum, structure of the school, and a general timetable for implementation are presented.
