T. C. Daniel and W. H. Ittelson (see record 1982-04586-001) argued that the present authors' (see record 1982-04603-001) proposed model of the psychological representation of molar physical environments captures merely semantic relationships, is an artifact of the authors' methods, and has little to do with actual environments. Since this type of argument has appeared in various areas of psychology, the present authors reply to a general version of it. (20 ref) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
