Abstract

project design allows for two types of comparisons / first is a comparison between the borderline group and other clinical groups in terms of symptoms, social and family adjustment, psychological defenses, self-concept, and object representations as measured by our assessment battery / second is a longitudinal comparison of course and outcome under different treatment conditions
purpose is to build a database consisting of a set of standardized instruments or assessment methods that can be applied to different problems and groups of patients
one of the main purposes of the project is to subject the borderline concept to strong empirical tests (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
