Abstract

This chapter explores the issues and practices of using computer-assisted career guidance systems (CACGSs) with college students. It includes a brief history of the development of CACGSs and a discussion of practices associated with the use of those systems and the Internet among college students. The chapter concludes with a review of some of the popular CACGSs on college and university campuses and a discussion of the benefits and challenges associated with the use of technology in career counseling.
