Abstract

This chapter presents six cases of men and women with nervous complaints who were treated by medicine and a common, temperate diet. Cases included (1) headaches and near-epileptic fits that began in infancy; (2) weak nerves and bowels, extreme low spirits, and hysteric paroxysms; (3) nervous headache, lowness, and oppression, and lack of motivation; (4) sinking, anxiety, and hysteric disorders, as well as colic, watching, and inflation; (5) bilious vomiting and hysteric lowness; and (6) hysterical fits and colics.
