Abstract

Since fuller accounts embodying the more important studies are already available, only the briefest historical summary of early work with the Maze Test is necessary here, and it is included partly to show the psychological climate that affected its development and use. Like the Binet, its inception came about through the need for a better classification of mental defectives in relation to their training or education.
